While most homeowners go to great lengths to decorate their living areas, kitchens and bedrooms, the bathroom is often forgotten. When you consider for a moment that guests use this room in your house quite regularly and that the bath is also a personal spa in many ways, it makes perfect sense to have that room as attractive looking as possible. Many of us love to soak in a hot bath for an hour or so following a hard day’s work, so the surroundings should be calming and pleasant.
You could put some new, modern tiles behind the sink and tub and maybe lay a new floor to give the room a fresh new look. On the windows, a set of new window blinds that coordinate with the colors of the bath could be just the right finishing touch. Today, you can easily find window blinds made of polymer material that will not warp or peel from being exposed to humidity and dampness.
If you prefer curtains, then consider using window shades behind them as a way to offer a bit more privacy as well as a touch of color to the bathroom. There are shades for bathrooms that are made of vinyl which are resistant to water and they come in a wide variety of colors, patterns and styles as well.
